The tax code changes enacted in December of 2017 include a new program designed to attract capital to areas of the country which are underserved and have significant poverty.  A number of census tracts in Western New York have been selected by the Governor to participate in the program.  Dave Barrett, Director at Freed Maxick will provide an overview of the Opportunity Zone program, the requirements and how investments must be structured in order to participate in the program.
